DALLAS INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL - Dallas, PA
Design Management Group provided professional engineering services for the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection building systems to support the completion of architectural efforts for the construction documents and services for this new education facility. The current school is a prefabricated building that sits on a concrete slab. The new school will consist of 57,000 SF and house about 700 students in third to fifth grades. Set to open in the fall of 2019, the school features efficient and flexible floor plans for small and large group classroom collaborations as well as assembly for school-wide and community events. Quality assurance review of work was completed and changes were made as required based on the review process to assure the operability and code compliance of the building systems.
PALMER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - Easton, PA
DMG is providing professional engineering services for the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection building systems to support the completion of architectural efforts for a new, ground-up elementary school. The facility is approximately 100,000 SF and three stories high. The new facility offers state-of-the-art gymnasium and media center, as well as general education classrooms and spaces for special education and specialized instruction such as art, music, and science. Cutting edge technology and security infrastructure is also in place to meet today’s standards. Quality assurance review of work was completed and changes were made as required based on the review process to assure the operability and code compliance of the building systems.
253 ACADEMY STREET MODULAR PROJECT - Jersey City, NJ
Design Management Group provided professional signed and sealed drawings for a new (5) five story, 43,000 SF multi-use modular family residential apartment building, consisting of various types of apartments, ground floor and partial basement. DMG designed incoming utilities and MEP/FP services for the basement, ground floor, stairwells, elevator lobbies, as well as the interconnection systems to the modular apartments on the 2nd-5th floors. DMG also included in the design scope the building’s roof drains and interior rain leaders.
KORG USA, INC. - Melville, NY
In June 2018, DMG began an interior alteration project for an exclusive US distributor of the world’s finest musical instrument brands and its existing distribution facility. DMG is providing professional engineering services for the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection building systems to support the architectural efforts for these alterations. The major renovations consist of 13,000 SF area of work area, which include a newly renovated entrance/lobby area, various sized offices and collaborative working areas, conference rooms, kitchens, a sound/video studio and an attached warehouse.
7-ELEVEN CONVENIENCE STORES & BOLLA MARKETS - Various Locations in NJ & NY
DMG provided professional engineering services for the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection building systems to support the architectural efforts for renovations and new stores for 7-Eleven. This franchise that entails extensive prototypical drawings, requires complying with all codes and involves special attention to the 7-Eleven brand and equipment. DMG also determined equipment and specifications for loads/calculations to make sure all services were code compliant, as well as NYSECC compliance.
Bolla Markets owns and operates gas stations, convenience stores, auto repair shops and car washes across New York and New Jersey. DMG has continued to provide MEP/FP services and related coordination, to satisfy loading requirements for gas pumps, canopy lighting, site lighting, signage, vacuums, air stations and restaurants. Balancing of electrical panels as required based on equipment and exterior tap box & manual transfer switch for portable generator power were also included in these various project locations.
Most Locations include: Brooklyn, Brooklyn (Coney Island), Copiague, Elmont, Islandia, Lindenhurst, Queens, Staten Island, all in New York. Other locations include Mahwah and Ramsey, New Jersey.
THE SIDNEY & PAULINE FRIEDMAN CENTER FOR JEWISH LIFE - Kingston, PA
Design Management Group is providing professional engineering services for the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection building systems to support the architectural efforts for the construction documents and construction administration services. Quality assurance review of work was completed and changes were made as required based on the review process to assure the operability and code compliance of the building systems for the 40,000 SF single story renovation with up to 25,000 SF of additional space.
STONY BROOK SQUARE, LLC. - Stony Brook, NY
Design Management Group is providing professional engineering services for the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection building systems to support the architectural efforts in developing this project consisting of four new commercial one story retail buildings. The total building area is made up of 24,000 SF and spaces are being designed for restaurant, mercantile and business use for up to 12 tenants. This project scope also includes site improvements for parking, lighting, drainage and landscaping. White Boxes with Core & Shell (C&S) were provided for Permit Level drawings for each building in preparation of future fit-outs for all tenants.
ELECTRIC CITY AQUARIUM & REPTILE DEN - Scranton, PA
DMG was definitely proud to provide for this client. They designed and provided full MEP/FP engineering services to support the architectural efforts in developing the city of Scranton's first aquarium. Conveniently located within The Marketplace at Steamtown, this 20,000 SF aquarium space not only holds the attraction and its creatures, but also provides a separate room for birthday parties, events and school/camp outings. The facility holds a 33,000 gallon tank that holds sharks and stingrays, and visitors will be able to view many different tropical fish by walking under a 7,000 gallon cylinder bridge tank.
The Marketplace used to be known as the Mall at Steamtown, which was taken over by new management in May of 2016, creating a new name in hopes of enhancing Scranton's downtown area.
FOOD & FIRE BBQ RESTAURANT & TAPHOUSE - Moosic, PA
Design Management Group provided professional engineering services for the design of full MEP/FP building systems to a full renovation of a new restaurant space at the Shoppes at Montage, a well-known and highly traveled location/resort. At roughly, 6,500 SF, DMG's services consisted of a full-service kitchen/restaurant that focuses on the customer experience, a variety of crafted brewed beers and authentic smoked barbecue offerings. Design entailed open architecture with exposed ceilings and upscale decor, along with world class service and a fun atmosphere.
FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES BY MARRIOTT - Moosic, PA
Another project is being done on Montage Mountain in Moosic. Our engineers at Design Management Group provided professional engineering services for this new construction project consisting of almost 60,000 SF. The hotel is a four-story establishment that holds over 100 guest rooms and suites. DMG's designs include but are not limited to site lighting, coordination of all utilities, emergency generator and fuel oil storage systems, all while adhering to Marriott's International broad portfolio of standards, prototype drawings and brand regulations.
